Here today I will tell you about that one time this fashion blogger thought the green top she was wearing was the Pantone Color of the Year, and then when she actually looked up the Pantone Color of the Year, she was sorely wrong and realized she should probably go change that one Instagram caption wherein she announced that this color was indeed the Pantone Color of the Year.
Sadly, that fashion blogger is me. 😛
And the reason I thought that this was is even a little more sad. So the Pantone Color of the Year is “Greenery” and in my cute little brain, I just figured that it was exactly what it says, greenery. Aka you look at the rainforest and see all of those amazing shades of green, and all of those shades would classify as Greenery. Hmmm sounded like a good idea to me. Oh and one more sad little fact, I even had looked it up, and I still thought that. Change the name of the color, people. Also if you would like to see what Greenery actually is. go here. Because chances are you most likely won’t see me wearing that color probably ever.
And if you’re not even sure what the Pantone Color of the Year is, don’t worry I’m apparently still confused as well. I guess twice a year a group of representatives from various nations’ color standards groups (We have color standards groups?!) get together for two days of presentations and debate and then decide upon a color for that year. And “Pantone has said that color has always been an integral part of how a culture expresses the attitudes and emotions of the times.”
Guess this year, we’re all going green. 😛
Ok moving on to things I actually do know about. Despite my misplacement of this color, it really is a cool color and for people who don’t look good in greenery, I think this green top is the next best thing. Since ruffles are all the rage this season too, I’ve got you covered there too. Also, these jeans from H&M fit amazing. They’re sold out in a few sizes (I’m wearing a 2) but you can find a bunch of high looser fit jeans here! I’m loving these ones.
Ok, now that we’ve cleared up all of that Pantone madness, you have yourself a splendid little weekend. I’m going to be busy making people pretty for life and their wedding. But I’m def sneaking in one of those $20 Asian foot massages tomorrow night. Have you guys been? THE best.
xoxo,
Christine
