Every time spring starts rolling around, I finally realize I’m actually ready for it! I get so excited about fall and bundling up but then what’s after that’s over, what’s better than sunshine, iced coffee and summer dresses?! (Well probably if we just take all that goodness to the beach too!) As far as summer dresses, shift dresses are one of my favorite dress styles! They are so simple to dress up or down and can usually just be paired with some simple accessories, and you are set! So expect to be seeing lots of dresses this style around here this spring and summer! This one is from Tobi is probably one of my fave colors of all time but it also comes in two other colors! I recently wore this look for a casual night out with my girlfriends! Jacket on for dinner and off for dancing of course. 😛 P.S. This little cross body purse has become my go to for a night out! Fits my cards, phone and lipstick, and I don’t have to worry about holding on to it while I’m trying to shake my groove thang. 😛 If you want to see more fun spring pieces from Tobi, you can see dresses, skirts, and midi dresses via those links!
Ben and I are back from our fun little getaway to Utah! We had the best time just being together and even the six and a half hour car ride home was fun! We found ourselves taking the time we had to talk about real life stuff like Jesus and marriage and our future together, and I feel like that always leaves my love tank all filled up because it helps us to connect and really get to know each other even better. We are currently reading a super awesome book on marriage called The Meaning of Marriage, and if you are married (or even plan to be!), I HIGHLY recommend it! We live in a culture that places less and less value on marriage and more and more value on individuality and pleasing yourself. But for a truly fulfilled marriage, you have to be willing to put your partner’s needs above your own and really invest in your relationship with God so that you actually have that kind of selfless love to give. Because the reality is that we don’t naturally WANT to do that. So we need a lot of help! This book is what sparked a lot of our conversation yesterday, and I can’t wait to see what else we learn from it!
I’m back to work at the salon today! Can’t wait to see my fun clients and coworkers and make people pretty!
P.S. (Happy birthday, Hannah.)
