Sweater: Shein here; Pants: Zara, similar here, here and here; Shoes: Charlotte Russe here, also here and here; Purse: Diophy Handbags c/o here
Every time I wear something from Shein, people ask me questions about them and their products and what I think of the company. Honestly, if I didn’t like something, I wouldn’t post it. I have turned down working with lots of companies if their clothing doesn’t match my style, and I have also sent stuff back if I get it and don’t feel myself in it or like it doesn’t match my style. Also, I don’t only work with SheIn, I also purchase clothing from them on my own as well! As was the case with this top! So, since I always get lots of questions, I decided I would try to share my experiences and things I’ve discovered after ordering from them!
-The photos they use on their website are photos from other websites such as Nordstrom, Free People and Top Shop. That being said, the item that you purchase is NOT the exact item in the photo. They don’t advertise this but basically what they do is COPY the higher-end item to bring it to you at a lower cost. For example you can compare the sweater shown here to the one in this post. It is quite similar but it definitely isn’t the exact sweater! Go in to your purchases knowing that, and you won’t be disappointed! Also, I always check to see if any other customers have uploaded photos of the actual item because that can give you a better idea of the fit.
-I tend to only order shirts, dresses, coats, and skirts from them as I have had a few hangups with the fitting on the denim. However, I still want to try to figure out which ones could work because they have some cute ones!
–Shipping DOES take a while so it’s not going to be your typical shipping length. It’s usually 7-10 days but it’s also usually free! So if you can just be patient, it will come. 😛
-If you are curious about sizing, every item I have gotten from them has been a small.
-Think about the prices you are paying and what you are getting! So if your $15 sweater looks like a $30 sweater, be happy, and don’t worry that it’s not the exact same as the $80 sweater they copied. You didn’t pay $80. #winning
Annd, that’s all folks! This cute sweater actually IS only $15 and it’s the perfect lightweight sweater for spring. And for some reason the hubs is obsessed with it so I’m sure I will be getting lots of use out of it! I plan to pair it with a denim skirt too to change up the look!
So how CUTE is this purse?! I’m seriously in love with every purse I have gotten from Diophy Handbags! I love the boxiness of this one and the textured snakeskin print! I decided I needed a red purse because I always gravitate towards black and tan but I figured a fun colored purse can make a simple outfit like this one pop! Their bags are so reasonably priced, and I could literally go right now and pick out like fifteen more that I want. Buut the hubby and my recently de-cluttered closet might not agree with that. 😛 (P.S. Please tell me HOW I cleaned out my closet last week, and then this week I started going through stuff again and got rid of THREE MORE BAGS OF STUFF. LIKE HOW?!)
Hope this post helped! And that it maybe calmed some of your fears about ordering from SheIn. Let me know if you have any other questions!
xoxo,
Christine
